July 20-22, 2017
Location: Miami Beach, Florida
Sponsored by: Bilingual Therapies
We invite you to participate in our 2017 Bilingual Symposium in Miami Beach, Florida at the Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach, July 20 – 22, 2017. This unique symposium is designed to build on the knowledge and skills of monolingual and bilingual speech-language pathologists and related professionals who serve dual-language users. Speakers will focus on evidence-based practice and share practical applications for clinical services.
A primary goal of this year’s symposium is to provide attendees with advocacy tools and demonstrations of innovative assessment procedures for culturally and linguistically diverse students. The sessions will provide evidence that will allow participants to advocate for the use of these procedures in order to reduce misdiagnosis of communication disorders. The conference agenda is arranged for each participant to attend all presentations. These sessions allow participants to obtain information and ask questions about current knowledge and practices in bilingual speech-language assessment and intervention.
In addition to exploring beautiful Miami Beach, symposium attendees can meet and share ideas with colleagues while receiving up to 1.1 ASHA CEUs (11 hours)!
