full-time Speech/Language Pathologist beginning
August 2010, potentially serving students from preschool through
high school. Experience in delivering services through an
exclusionary model via team teaching is preferred. ASHA
certification and ability to obtain certification through the
Colorado Department of Education required. Training in Six Trait
Writing, oral motor speech exercises, and Augmentative and
Alternative Communication Systems is desirable.
Salary ranges from $40,500 to $52,300. Health
and wellness benefits. District housing available.

Valley Speech & Language
Dynamic medically based private practice
currently has opening for a contract Speech-Language Pathologist
with adult clients. SLP will provide evaluations and treatment
with acute rehab patients, inpatients, and outpatients. SLP will
perform modified barium swallow studies. SLP opening with
pediatrics. We practice a multi-disciplinary approach to
treatment in a family-friendly clinical setting. SLP will
provide therapy to children in the areas of speech, language,
cochlear implants, and dysphagia.
Reasonable caseload with flexible
scheduling. Excellent reputation in a highly desirable
growing community in western Colorado. On-site supervision
for strong CF candidate available.

SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST Hospital setting
(per diem).
We are looking for
an SLP to join our therapy team. The SLP will work with patients in
our Rehabilitation Hospital, Outpatient Clinic, and Long Term Acute
Hospital (ICU type environment). Our patients are typically
recovering from traumatic brain injury, stroke, or surgical
procedures.
This is a Per Diem position meaning no guaranteed
hours, on-call, occasional weekends, (and no benefits).
Requirements: Current Certificate of Clinical Competence
from ASHA or Clinical Fellowship Year status. Current CPR card
required.

- Provide speech language therapy and
case management for students with special education services in
grades PK-21 throughout Gunnison and Hinsdale County.
- Fulfill legal requirements for
documentation of those services in accordance with IDEA and ECEA
using electronic IEP software.
- Monitor student progress using data
collection and other quantitative tools.
- Participate in building level Rtl
problem solving teams on a regular basis.
- Provide interventions to students
identified through the Rtl process, as available.
Applicants must be licensed in the state of
Colorado with a Special Services License in the area of Speech
Language Pathology. Experience working with all grades, levels of
support needs and disability areas preferred.
